Tell me....

What is the one blog that makes you catch your breath and why?

Everyone knows that Dear Daisy Cottage is mine....

Oh sure I have a multitude of favorites, but Kim stole my heart with her letter to Daisy Cottage that you can read *here*. She has made an artform out of blogging and has the ability to make all your problems dissapear for as long as your visit lasts. I dare you to not smile while you're there ;)

So tell me..... I know you love a lot of different blogs, but which one is your favorite and why? Maybe it'll give others a chance to move outside their circle of blogging friends and discover someone new :)

hugs and love,
rue

She does have a wonderful blog and I can see why you fell in love with her and it.

My absolute favorite is Snowbrush at http://snowbrush.blogspot.com

This man writes to perfection and he bears his heart, soul and life on every post. He engages you and his is one of the few blogs that I've gone back and read every single thing he's written!

Jane

P.S. This is a great idea Rue, to give us a glimpse into other blogs that we may not have found yet!

I don't know that I could pick an absolute favorite, because everyone is so unique and I love them in different ways.

I would never reveal my favorite and take the chance of hurting my other readers feelings... I love many and each for a different reason.. Some are funny, some artful and photographic, some feel like a good friend, others because they vary their entries and are always a surprise each and every day... SO, if anyone fits any of these reasons, please know that I love your blog... *smiles*

Hi Rue
I love your blog but I have to say that Kim's is my favorite. If I only have time for one blog I will always go there first and on days when she doesn't post I am disappointed! I like it because it is always so cheerful and pretty she has similar tastes in decorating as I do and she makes you feel like she is your friend.

I just started reading your blog. But my all time favorite is:
http://acottageindustry.typepad.com/a_cottage_industry/
I just love her decorating ideas, her fresh positive attitude. She writes like you are actually there talking with her.
I don't like to leave an anonymous comment, but haven't figured out how to use the tags. My email address is Cobs@aol.com, and I don't have a blog. Not much of a writer, but love to get inspiration from others.

Hi Rue
I've found so many wonderful blogs that I can't pick just a few out, as it would be like choosing one child favorite over another! I skip around these days as I have so many favorites now that I can't possibly visit them all in one day, or even one week! I learn something from each and every one and it's been so enriching to have made friends with wonderful women, and a few men, from all over the US and the world! Blogging has truly been a happy adventure for me.

You were among the first blogs I read, back when my list was about 8 blogs long, so you'll always hold a special place in my heart, and I always try to visit you as often as I can!

Hugs, Pat

Oh I love so many..THIS one included!! I really like to read about and see how people have decorated. My all time favorites though are the ones where people are able to express their feelings about life. I am SO terrible at expressing myself and I am horrible writer. I love to be able to connect with others if only through their writings..it just helps somedays to know I'm not alone!

Hi Rue! You and Gollum were my first blog experiences ... from there I have enjoyed so many other blogs and for so many many reasons. I get something from everyone I read ... and when I see an intriguing comment in one of those blogs, I go there ~ and another blog friendship has been born.

I have had a horrific computer virus for the past several days, maybe even weeks. I think we have gotten rid of it ~ but brilliant techies think I may have picked it up on someone's blog .... be careful.

Your's is one of my very favorite blogs and usually the first one I go to every day! I have a lot of blogs that I visit as often as possible, but two of them really stand out as blogs that took my breath away the first time I saw them: Cindy at Romantic Home and Cielo at The House in the Roses. I love the Romantic Home because of her shabby chic and cottage style. She is so well loved that she has been featured in her local newspaper and has had over a million visitor in the 4 years she has been blogging. The House in the Roses is just very simply beautiful, full of roses and gardens and all kinds of beauty, and Cielo has a way to describe it all that is utterly poetic. She also has very soothing music playing on her blog.

There are so many more, but these two really stand out!

First I must say the love notes post is wonderful. My Mister & I still write eachother little notes and write I love you's on the calendar. We don't get off the phone without saying it either. After almost 10 years of marriage some people call us " the honeymooners "....lol.

I have a relatively small blog roll but your blog inspired me to get to started. :) You were always so nice to me on RMS and for that I will always be thanful. I also love Nancy's blog ( I call her Fancy ) Southern Lady and Rhoda @ Southern Hospitality. I always find great ideas there. But I love sooo many!!

Have a great weekend!

I agree with the others - there are so many wonderful blogs, it's impossible to choose a favorite. But, I will say that one at the top of my list is the photography blog "Just Be Blogged by Tara Whitney". She is a mom-wife-photographer in California and her photos are simply stunning. Looking at her work always puts a smile on my face.

Hey Rue, Congratulations on potentially selling your home and for the buyers accepting your counteroffer! Woo Hoo!

I had to think about (my favorite person in blog land) for a while and I came up with the one person that inspires me physically and that's http://www.katheats.com/

I've recently lost 40 pounds and constantly working on my health. Kath is not only someone that inspires me but keeps a food journal (her blog) of everything she eats every single day since 2007. She is taking her first blog break (so to speak) and allowing herself a break this week while she and her hubby are in New Orleans. She's still posting but not going nuts with it while she's out of town. I would miss her something terrible if she ended her blog. And that's why I pick her!

I really like your idea of sharing our favorites, this is fun!

Blessings - Debbie
