Egypt: Court nullifies conviction of Mubarak for corruption
Mubarak had been sentenced to three years in prison for corruption and has been serving the sentence in a military hospital in Cairo. Was accused of deviating from the equivalent of ten million euros of public funds for renovation of their palaces. The highest jurisdiction of Egypt also annulled the sentencing to four years ' imprisonment of Mubarak's sons, Alaa and Gamal, who were tried under the same process of corruption.In November another court of appeal had already annulled the conviction to life imprisonment by the counts of deaths of protesters in the riots of January and February 2011.
