Baby giraffe slaughter Denmark for not having genetic heritage "interesting"

The autopsy was performed in public and his remains used to feed the beasts. (Warning, this video contains images that can shock the squeamish.)

The zoo found that the animal in perfect health, had a genetic heritage "interesting". Took him out in order to avoid the risk of consanguinity.

The possibility of castration was ruled out due to side effects; as well as the reintroduction in the wild, already very difficult, since African countries are not interested in hosting giraffes.

A Swedish zoo and another Englishman say they have made proposals to accommodate the animal, but not gotten response from Denmark.
