Thai Government survives in Parliament

The Thai Prime Minister, Yingluck Shinawatra, survived the motion of censure tabled by the opposition in Parliament.

The motion was rejected, since the party has a comfortable majority of Shinawatra in Parliament. However, the pressure is growing on the streets.

The country lives the largest demonstrations since the wave of protests three years ago, which marked the transition of military power for the elections won by Shinawatra, sister of Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, ousted from power in 2006.

The protesters, who accuse the Government of corruption, promising to occupy the police headquarters and the Ministry of defence.
