Doping in Russia even has support from the State

The World Anti-Doping Agency published Monday a report that confirms what has long been suspected: the systematic use of doping among athletes in Russia had the complicity and support of the State.

The document, headed by an independent Commission and presented by Canadian Richard McLaren in Toronto, revealed that the Moscow laboratory responsible for the testing performed during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, protected the country's sportsmen:

"The responsible laboratory in Sochi changed often samples to allow Russian athletes who used doping could compete. The Russian Minister of sport directed, controlled and oversaw the manipulation of test results. "

The Russia eventually stand up naturally as the great sports power at the games, finishing with a total of 33 medals, 13 of them gold.

According to the report, the systematic use of doping is a practice with several years in the country and extends to several sports.

Grow the voices for that Russia be barred from going to the games in Rio de Janeiro, and not just his track team. Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, to express their indignation against this unprecedented attack the integrity of the sport, assuring that will not hesitate to apply harsh penalties to any individual or organisation involved.

A measure that will surely punish innocent sportsmen, but after this report, there is no way of knowing who is clean or not in Russian sport.
