Television of Catalonia boycotts Christmas speech of the King of Spain

For the first time in thirty years, the Catalan public television decided not to broadcast the speech of the monarch.

In an intervention where expressed the determination to fulfil the mandate as head of State, the King recalled that "for many years, [the Spaniards] solved in joint problems much harder than those who see themselves confronted today, always with a common goal".

The speech was delivered a few days after the regional President of Catalonia have reached agreement with the Catalan left to celebrate in November of next year a referendum to ask citizens if they want the region to be an "independent" State.
