Montreux Conference strengthens difficulty in obtaining the peace agreement for Syria

The International Conference of Montreux, Switzerland, didn't leave a good omen for the next step in the peace talks to Syria.

Representatives of the regime and the opposition in exile should begin on Friday in Geneva, the face-to-face dialogue.

But the UN mediator and the Arab League, Lakhdar Brahimi, made it clear that there is "no illusions that this will be easy", despite all efforts.

The first meeting between both parties, organized by the United States and Russia under the aegis of the United Nations, was marked by the war of words and served mainly to emphasize the deep divergences.

The Syrian Minister of information explained that his delegation "came to Geneva because he chose political way to resolve the situation. But one thing is the political way and another distinct is the fight against Al-Qaida, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and other terrorist organizations in Syria ".

During the meeting in Montreux, the head of Syria's diplomacy had already made an incendiary speech, classifying the opposition "traitors in the pay of the enemy".

Michel Kilo, a member of the opposition coalition, Syria says the regime's delegation "came to turn around and accuse all Affairs to support terrorism".
