Chinese President to visit France agreements worth 18 billion euros

After Lyon, the Chinese head of State travelled to Paris where he met with French counterpart Francois Hollande, in the second of a three-day visit.

"18 billion euro in contracts mean employment, growth and prospect of growth for years to come," said the French President, François Hollande.

"China and France are two countries with global influence. We have decided to strengthen our cooperation in International Affairs and propose ideas and solutions in order to establish a new international political order that is more fair and balanced, "said the Chinese head of State, Xi Jinping.

Agriculture, energy and transport were the main areas of the agreements, in particular as regards the sale of Airbus aircraft and the entry of Chinese manufacturer DongFeng automobile in the capital of the Gaulish PSA Peugeot Citroën.
