New technology supports Malaysia Airlines plane searches

At the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, experts put at the disposal of emergency crews to latest technology.

Dave Gallo, Director of special projects, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution: "don't let no point discovered and nothing beats the autonomous submarine vehicle, in operations such as this to cover the bottom of the sea with unprecedented precision."

More recently, Remus and other sophisticated devices were used in search operations of the unit of Air France flight 447, Rio-Paris, which crashed in the South Atlantic Ocean, in 2009.

But this time, researchers have a wider area to search in the Indian Ocean, where the plane crashed will be Malaysia Airlines.
