Physical confrontations in Ukrainian Parliament

231 of 450 deputies voted for the law, with all the Communist deputies to abstain from the vote.

Before this vote, members engaged in physical confrontations, after the Communist leader Petro Symonenko accused members of the interim Government have given Russia a precedent for extremist actions, when they occupied Government buildings during the protests in Kiev against Yanukovych's Government.

Svoboda party members reacted away Symonenko of the pulpit, and it was then that Communist deputies and other parties passed the physical language.

In recent days, there have been riots in Donetsk, Luhansk and Kharkiv in the East of the country, with protesters pró-Rússia occupying government buildings. With the Russian army mobilised along the borders of Ukraine, Kiev fears attempts to destabilize the country with the approach of the elections of May 25.
