The data collected by the Cassini spacecraft during three stints in moon called Encelado, between 2010 and 2012, revealed there is a saltwater lake under a blanket of ice and organic molecules, elementary chemical elements to create life.
The bottom of the Lake is Rocky, a fact that may be favorable to the creation of life.
The Lake is located at the South Pole of the Moon and has a size almost equivalent to that of continental Portugal.
The Cassini spacecraft was launched in 2004 and studied the largest natural satellites of the solar system's sixth planet from the Sun.
