Lavrov and Deshchytsia continue diplomatic battle in Vienna

With different arguments, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Deshchytsia, and the head of Russian diplomacy Sergey Lavrov, gathered in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, in Vienna.

It was hoped a European representatives ' support for the presidential elections of May 25 in Ukraine but for Russia this was an opportunity to challenge the authorities in Kiev about the Geneva agreement.

"The Ukrainians are who must comply with the agreements. Want the regime wants the opposition, because they live in the same country. On the basis of equality and mutual respect must coordinate the necessary steps to put the Geneva agreement into practice, "he said, at a press conference, Serguei Lavrov.

Opposite side, with another tom, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine proved to be open to receiving international observers for the elections in May and returned an answer.

"I call on European partners to do everything possible to eliminate the external threat and provocations supported by Russia on Ukraine, in order to allow the realization of these elections freely and democratically," said Andriy Deshchytsia.

Moscow says it is "unusual" presidential elections while the Ukrainian army acts against the population.
