Libya: deadly Clashes in the city of Benghazi

Some sources speak of attempted coup d'etat.

The interim Prime Minister, Abdullah Al-Thani, urged all the rebel brigades to remain calm and to obey the orders of their bosses in order to maintain unity of Libya and ensured that the army maintains control.

The situation is confusing. The Chief of staff of the army ensures that the military were not involved in the operation, but a former Commander of the rebellion that overthrew Kadaffi spoke of an operation aimed at purging Benghazi of terrorist groups.
