Ukraine: Kiev resumes Mariupol and prepares for cuts in Russian gas

The clashes with the rebels pró-russos lasted about six hours. At least five rebels and two soldiers Ukrainians have died.

Witnesses guarantees that the separatists were led by a Chechen. The rebels were defeated and with the respective armored vehicles on fire.

Ukrainian forces retook control of the port city.

Less fortunate have the authorities of Kiev in another war: the gas. No agreement with Moscow, the Ukraine prepares for a cut in Russian gas supply from as early as Monday, the deadline for the payment of about $ 500 million of overdue invoices.

To confirm this setting, the supply of gas to the European Union can be disturbed since half of gas imported from Russia transits through Ukraine.
