Israeli bombardments killed Palestinian family

Israeli air strikes killed eight members of a family, including five children, in the early hours of Thursday, in Gaza.

The bombing happened while fighters linked to Hamas are still launched rockets against Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, the Israeli attack destroyed at least two homes in Khan Younis, in the South of the territory.

The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon condemned the attacks with rockets, asking Israel to restraint and warning that the situation in Gaza is "extremely precarious."

A Palestinian young man who lived in one of the destroyed houses told me that his brother was shot by Israeli air strikes while they were still inside the House. The bombing reached them after the first burst of warning and gave them time to take anything from the House.

At least 66 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict, of which more than 50 civilians, according to Gaza medical officials.

Israel says its offensive is aimed at halting Palestinian attacks from the Gaza Strip. More than 320 rockets were launched against Israeli towns by Hamas, but a large part was intercetada by the Israeli missile defense system called Iron dome.
