Dr. Bruce Aylward, the who's Assistant Director-General, explained that "the current number of registered cases is 8941. Let's exceed 9,000 this week. The disease continues to expand geographically. More districts, counties and prefectures where it was detected the disease than there was a month ago and this is happening in the three countries. "
