Nepal: rescue teams are trying to locate survivors of avalanches

Twenty dead is the interim balance of tragedy. At least 70 climbers remain unaccounted for.

"Personally I was sure I was going to die on that trail, got lost and group of people with who I was and couldn't see a thing. Was almost buried in the snow "avail Linor Kajan, a Israeli survivor.

The tragedy of this Wednesday is the second most serious occurred this year. Last April an avalanche killed 16 sherpa guides on Mount Everest.

The incident occurred on the trail of the peak Annapurna, the 10th highest mountain in the world. The authorities claim that the bad weather would have been provoked by remnants of Cyclone Hudhud that caused devastation in India.
