Powerful earthquake shakes Japan

The 39 injured are in the majority among the three localities most affected Omachi and Hakuba, Nagano.

The quake also caused serious damage to dozens of houses and cutting electricity to more than 1500 homes in a country prepared for earthquakes, since 20 percent of large earthquakes worldwide occur in the country in the rising sun.

The high-speed train line connecting Nagano to Tokyo resumed normal operations shortly after technicians have established that the lack of damage near the epicenter.
