Jordan confirms fall of appliance in northern Syria

Jordanian authorities also confirmed that the pilot of the unit was captured by radical group Islamic State.

Previously, information from Syria suggested that the Group Islamic State would have beaten the appliance of the coalition.

Supporters of the extremist group published pictures on social networks which show the capture of a pilot who is now in the hands of the radical group.

The unit was captured in northern Syria near the town of Raqqa. The jihadist group claims that the plane was shot down by a shoulder-fired missile thermal.

In the last three months, air force units from Jordan, United States, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have carried out hundreds of air raid on Syria.
