Peru: climate talks hoping for a deal

A text on this point must be formally approved in the next few hours, otherwise the UN Conference has respected the objectives nor their promises.

The time is decisive for the hope to limit the development of the 2° C warming threshold beyond which the impacts would be "severe and irreversible" in many parts of the world, according to scientists.

The debates focused on 80% of recurring themes but remains the eternal question of the distinction between developed and developing countries, including emerging that require more rich countries on behalf of the historical responsibility for major climate change.

The thorny issue remains: the financial support to the South that has to deal with global warming and its consequences.
