Ukraine: Kiev and rebels agree to cease-fire Tuesday

The Ukrainian Government and the rebels prórussos will agree in silence the guns in the East of the country from Tuesday, March 9.

The two sides announced the new attempt to put an end to deadly fighting in the regions of Donetsk and Lugansk.

The President of the Parliament of the self-proclaimed Republic of Donetsk, Andrei Purgin, confirmed the information to the Russian news agency Ria Novosti. Quoted from the same source, the President of the self-proclaimed Republic of Lugansk, Igor Plotnitski, mentioned a tacit commitment, without reference to a document signed.

If the cease-fire is respected to December 9, the next day will be dedicated to the withdrawal of heavy weapons.

The goal is to put into practice the Minsk agreement signed on 5 September.
