In Yemen, Shia rebels occupying the Presidential Palace

The rebels also bombed the residence of the President of Yemen, Abdo Rabu Mansur Hadi, situated in the western part of the city.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, claimed to be seriously worried about the crisis in Yemen. The UN Security Council met to discuss this apparent attempt to overthrow the President, big ally of the United States in the fight against Al-Qaeda.

The UN Envoy Jamal Benomar, announced the decision to move immediately to Sana'a. In charge of conducting the negotiations for the formation of a new unity Government, faces the opposition of houthis Benomar, which strengthened the control of Sana'a since they came in September in the capital.
