Iraq: New bombings in Baghdad kill more than a dozen civilians

More than a dozen civilians dead and at least 30 wounded is the provisional balance a new bloody morning in Baghdad, in Iraq.

According to the authorities, there have been two explosions in Bab al-Sharqi, a neighborhood along the Tigris River, in the face of the green zone of the Iraqi capital, where most government buildings and the entities and international organizations.

Baghdad is frequently the scene of attacks carried out by Sunni insurgents of the Islamic State, who have often targeted Shiite neighborhoods of the capital.

On Thursday, at least 21 people were killed in five bomb attacks and shootings on the outskirts of Baghdad.
