New earthquake causes dozens of dead in Nepal

The Nepal was shaken by a violent earthquake, for the second time in more than two weeks.

The earthquake of magnitude 7.3 on the Richter scale caused several dozen dead and over a thousand injured, amid the ruins of the earthquake of 25 April.

The quake, followed by eight aftershocks of magnitude 4 to 6, returned to cause the collapse of several houses in the capital, as well as several landslides in the remote areas of the country.

At least a dozen people were rescued alive from the rubble this morning.

About two thousand people returned to the provisional camps in the suburbs of Katmandu, as a precautionary measure.

At least two dozen people died also in the northern regions of India, where they account for several dozen wounded.

The new concussion occurs at a time when Nepal tries to reorganize itself after the violent earthquake of April that caused more than 8 thousand dead and 17 thousand wounded.
