European Medicines Agency approves vaccine against malaria

The vaccine that has shown some success in combating the disease, transmitted by a mosquito, was developed over 30 years ago by one of the giants of the pharmaceutical industry.

Malaria infects approximately of 200 million people a year and kills a child every minute.

Most cases of contagion happens in sub-Saharan Africa.
