German Justice condemns "accountant of Auschwitz" to 4 years in prison
Oskar Groening, now 94 years old, was recognized guilty of complicity in the deaths of 300 000 people in the nazi concentration camp.Without having participated directly in the extermination of prisoners, Groening was accused of having sent the money subtracted detainees for Berlin.This is one of the last processes related to Nazi crimes, when German Justice is merciless for the first time with an underling of the ancien régime.The penalty is slightly more than three and a half years requested by Prosecutors who claims to have also retained several apologies to Groening.
