Greece presents counterproposal to Europe

The "ping-pong" of negotiations between Greece and the European institutions resumed and the videoconference between Athens and Brussels will continue Wednesday morning.

The Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras sent a counterproposal to Brussels after the President of the European Commission has presented a new plan for financial assistance to Athens.

The Greeks continue to put my foot down the measures that they consider unfair.

The Hellenic plan envisages financial assistance of two years with a parallel restructuring of debt.

Athens has announced that it will not pay today the 1600 million euros to the International Monetary Fund coming so in default.

It is now the Eurogroup analyze the proposal of Greece.
