London: Environmentalists invade Heathrow Airport

To the sound of "no ifs, no buts, no third runway", the ecologists "group Plane Stupid" protest against a possible expansion of the airport.

Recently, the Airport Commission, an independent body, has recommended to the Government of David Cameron the construction of a third runway, to cope with the increase in air traffic.

First airport in number of passengers, Heathrow has hosted, in 2013, 72.3 million travellers.

The idea of building a third runway to dislike-area residents who fear the increased pollution â€" and the ecologists who, during the early hours, cut a fence and invaded the runway.

The police have arrested 9 protesters announced.
