China: explosions in the industrial zone of Tianjin are at least 50 dead

Remains an intense black smoke in the Chinese city of Tianjin after big explosions in a warehouse, on Wednesday night.

Biochemical and nuclear experts have arrived at the scene, to test for the existence of toxic gases in the air. People complain about the smell that have stayed and a strong burning eyes.

Witnesses described a catastrophic scenario, with hundreds of containers and cars set on fire.

The number of dead has risen to 50, with more than 700 people admitted in hospitals.

Doctors and psychologists from Beijing were also sent to the scene of the disaster, to help the wounded.

The causes of the explosion are still being investigated and the health authorities of China have come to ask for support, like blood, medical equipment and medicines.
