Denmark closes the door to refugees with Lebanese press ads

The Danish Foreign Ministry published a notice in four newspapers Lebanese to dissuade refugees from trying to gain access to its territory.

The text recalls that the aid for refugees have recently been reduced by 50% or so that the rejected candidates will be immediately extradited to the country of origin.

For a resident of Beirut, "this ad is funny at first because, instead of promoting refugees aid in a crisis like the current one, they announce that they're cutting the aid in form of advertising. As if they were selling something, which is ridiculous. "

For other inhabitant, "if they want to make a humanitarian gesture should first and foremost serve a certain number of refugees, instead of talking about a big influx as they do in this text. We received almost two million refugees in our country and we don't know who they are or where they come from. This attitude is unacceptable ".

The ad is published at a time when the liberal government, under pressure from the far right (the second party) attempts to stem the flow of refugees across the territory towards Sweden.
