Portugal: left Government drop force

The Government in Portugal. With 123 votes in favor, 107 against, the United Left has managed to pass in Parliament, as expected, the motion of rejection of the program of the Government of Pedro Passos Coelho presented by the Socialist Party, which means the end of the PSD/CDS Executive.

Passos Coelho have so in this second term, led the more ephemeral Government in the history of Portugal.

It is now up to President Anibal Cavaco Silva to decide between a "technical Government" until the holding of new elections, or deliver the formation of the Socialist Party Executive, in alliance with the Left, the Communists and the Greens.
