British couple convicted of planning a terrorist attack in London

In London, a court sentenced Tuesday a couple by planning and conspiracy with a view to the execution of a terrorist attack in the capital.

The couple, Mohammed Rehman, 25 years, and Sana Ahmed Khan, 24, were detained by the police on May 28 after they released a message on a social network in which they asked the opinion of his followers about whether they should reach a shopping center or the London underground network.

"This represents a worrying trend in terrorism in this country. On the one hand, we see groups of individuals who conspire together, often with international connections to Al Qaeda or to the Group Islamic State. On the other hand, we see the emergence of so-called Lone Wolves, as Mohammed Rehman, who is a self-taught, who makes his own decisions and that despite not being tied to anyone, assumes a jihadist mission "Jo Sidhu, a lawyer and expert on issues related to terrorism.

Police found weapons and chemicals in the couple's home as well as videos with images of explosions.

According to British media, the goal of the couple would launch an attack to celebrate the 10 years since the bombings in London in July 2005 7 day.
