Egyptian women denounce gender violence in Cairo

According to a United Nations study, 99% of women in Egypt are subject to some form of violence, whether verbal or physical.

A protester says "women suffer every kind of violence and are blamed for it. Husbands pain them for considering that answered or have bad ".

Another States that "in Egypt, are subject to various types of violence, but the worst is that forces women to continue having children until the birth of a son. This form of violence, compulsive, reproduction leads to the death of many women ".

According to the Egyptian Centre for women's rights, there are more than 200,000 violations per year in the country and the numbers increased during the recent period of political instability.
