Iran-France: A "new chapter" in the economic relations

Iran and France want to open a "new chapter" in relations. A will expressed by the two countries during Iranian President's visit to Paris, the first in 17 years.

Hassan Rouhani was received with military honors at the "Hotel des Invalides" by the head of French diplomacy, Laurent Fabius. Followed after to a business forum at the headquarters of the employers (MEDEF).

The Iranian leader recalled his country's needs in terms of energy, transport, agriculture and aeronautics, after years of sanctions.

PSA Peugeot Citroën and SNCF are French companies which have already signed cooperation agreements with Iran.

PSA plans to invest 400 million euros over the next five years, in partnership with Iranian Khodro car constructor, for the production of vehicles.

Tehran does not rule out agreements with other French car manufacturers in the coming months.

Total, Bouygues and Vinci, ADP will also sign agreements to the expansion and management of airports in Iran.

The French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, said: "thanks to the nuclear agreement of 14 July 2015, we can open a new chapter. The France welcomed with great satisfaction the i mplementation of the agreement the January 16 ", after validation of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

At the meeting with Francois Hollande, Iran must end the 100 order for Airbus planes.

But the protests against Rouhani succeed.
