Amnesty International: "Europe has failed on the issue of refugees"

The complaint comes from Amnesty International which today presented its annual report on the State of human rights in the world.

The alert organization to both the war crimes carried out in 19 countries, as well as more than 30 countries that have forced refugees to return to conflicts in their respective countries of origin.

According to Amnesty International's Secretary General, Salil Shetty:

"We documented consistently and we have condemned human rights abuses on the part of groups such as the Islamic State, Boko Haram, Kurdish militias of YPG and others. But the actions of these groups cannot be used as a justification to violate humanitarian laws to obt ain short-term advances. Whether it is the massive surveillance in the United States, the Russian law against foreign agents, or the appeal of Turkey and Nigeria to their security forces against the population ".

The annual report of AI saves only Germany among the European countries at the forefront of migratory crisis in Europe.

The decision of countries such as Hungary they close the borders, or lack of policies to accommodate refugees contrasts with the fact that half of the migrants are originating in Syria, "without human rights," according to the organization.

"The more Rico block in the world that is Europe, was not able to be attached to find a sensitive way, agreed, consistent and safe, so that people can access to Europe, at a time when fleeing war and persecution. I would say that, generally speaking, Europe failed in terms of human rights and also with regard to the treatment of migrants and refugees ", underlines Salil Shetty.

The Organization denounces the way leaders are trying to use the immigration crisis to strengthen the so-called "fortress Europe".

The France is also accused of acting against terrorism, without being at the height of its ideals, particularly with the decision to extend indefinitely the of State of emergency in the country.
