Liverpool celebrates decision to Hillsborough

The exterior of the St. Georges Hall in Liverpool was the scene of a public celebration for the outcome of the investigation which found the Hilleborough disaster, in which 96 football fans died in 1989.

The families of the victims were applauded by thousands of people and supporters, both from Liverpool FC as the other Club in town, Everton.

"27 years Were very, very hard, but let me say this: when we were sitting in the courtroom, in the last two years, listening to the same thing, the same lies to blame our supporters by drink, because they have no tickets, for being late, I had the notion that the system we have in this country has to be changed," said a relative of one of the victims.
