Barack Obama, hailed the legacy of Martin Luther King

Barack Obama, hailed the legacy of Martin Luther King, 50 years after the famous speech "I Have a Dream".

Exactly in the same place where the preacher and political activist from Atlanta delivered the oratory, the August 28, 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, the first Black President of the United States stated that "her words are timeless, have a power and a prophetic character without equal in our time".

Barack Obama also paid tribute to the strangers who fought with persistence by civil rights for years.

"With the March of America became freer and fairer. Not only for African Americans, but also for women, latinos, Asians and native Americans. For Catholics, Jews and Muslims, for gays, for the disabled Americans.

America has changed for you and me.

Everyone gained momentum with that example. They were young people on the other side of the iron curtain, which would tear down the wall, or the youth in South Africa that would put an end to the scourge of apartheid, "said the President of the United States.

At the ceremony called "Let Freedom Ring", participated in numerous individuals, among which stand out the former Presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, as well as Congressman John Lewis and the son and the daughter of Martin Luther King and the sister.
