François Hollande met with the opposition leader Syria

François Hollande received this morning at the Elysée, the Chairman of the opposition coalition, Syria Ahmad Jarba.

At the end of the meeting, the two talked briefly to reporters. A to publicly thank the support of Paris; the other to strengthen support for opposition to the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

In the speeches, nothing new.

"Everything must be done for a political solution, but it will come only if the Coalition is able to present itself as an alternative," said Hollande, avoiding the allusion to the military intervention in preparation.

Ahmad Jarba speaks clearly of the request from make: "we say that this crime should not go unpunished and there must be a strong international deterrence on the part of the allies of the Syrian people, with the French first Republic. And we would like to thank all the other allies.

International deterrence is counting down. UN inspectors leave Syria on Saturday.
