Documentary "Holy Gra" WINS Golden Lion of the Venice show

The documentary "Holy Gra" won the Golden Lion of the Venice show, the oldest film festival in the world. In this seventh edition, the jury made the work of the Italian Gianfranco Rosi who filmed the lives of people who reside along the peripheral road skirting Rome and divides the city from the suburbs. "Holy Gra" is the first documentary to win the maximum award Shows of Venice.

The Silver Lion, which rewards the best Director, was assigned to the Greek Alexandros Avranas, for the movie "Miss Violence". On this tape the Greek filmmaker tells the story of a family that her father dominates to earn money prostituting their daughters. Themis Panou, who played the role of incestuous father, won the award for best actor. The Italian Elena Cotta was considered the best actress of the event by the character played in the film by Eamma Dante "Via Castellana Bandiera".
