Greenpeace activists risk being judged by piracy

The ship Artic Sunrise from Greenpeace arrestada Russian authorities admitted to the port of Murmansk and the 30 crew members risk being judged by piracy. The lawsuit is ongoing.

On Wednesday two Greenpeace militants â€" a Swiss and another Finnish â€" were questioned by Russian security services FSB during an action of protest on an oil rig from Gazprom.

The next day the ship Artic Sunrise was stormed by commandos and crew detained.

Greenpeace accuses the Russians of firing warning shots, pointing guns at his head and cut the inflatable boats.

The protest occurred in what is the first Russian offshore platform in the Arctic, a region believed to contain 13% of the world's reserves of oil and 30% natural gas. The platform is near three national parks protected by Russian law.

Last month, Greenpeace warned that the Russian company Rosneft being the seismic testing with sound cannons, potentially deadly to cetaceans and other marine life.
