Syria: rebel warlord rejects Geneva agreement

The Free Syrian army Chief rejected the agreement reached by Moscow and Washington and vowed to continue the fight against Damascus.

Since the exile, in Turkey, general Salim Idriss, stated that the regime of Bashar al-Assad transfers several days ago the chemical weapons to the Lebanon and Iraq.

The Chief of the Supreme Military Council of the opposition stressed that Syria "does not recognize the Russian initiative" and accused Russia and Assad "they were playing, to waste and buy time for the criminal regime in Damascus."

Idriss added that the rebels will "facilitate the task of researchers [international] in the country, but there will be no ceasefire with the regime".

If Syria's opposition was not convinced, the United Kingdom and France welcomed the agreement reached by John Kerry and Serguei Lavrov. The head of French diplomacy, Laurent Fabius, said however that Paris "will decide its position" on the basis of the "UN inspectors ' report to be published on Monday.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, said the Geneva agreement expected to prevent a new recourse to chemical weapons and "prepare the way for a political solution to put an end to the terrible suffering of the Syrian people".
