The u.s. and Syria obtain agreement to draft resolution about Syria

The United States and Russia have managed to get an agreement on a draft resolution about Syria, which provides for the destruction of the chemical arsenal of Damascus and which will be presented to the UN Security Council.

The US Secretary of State, confirmed to have obtained a consensus with the head of Russian diplomacy Sergey Lavrov. John Kerry stated that "is now being made final work" on the content of the text.

Prior to the adoption of a resolution, the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons must validate the plan of dismantling of Syrian chemical arsenal proposed by Washington and Moscow on day 14.
