Red Cross volunteers kidnapped in Syria

Six volunteers from the Red Cross and Red Crescent were kidnapped Sunday in Syria, by armed men.

The information is the International Committee of organization that called for the immediate and unconditional release of the team, without, however, revealing the identity of the volunteers.

According to the news agency, Syria, armed men opened fire on a car with Red Cross staff who traveled on the road from Sirmin to Saraqeb, in the province of Idlib.

The abduction has not been claimed, but television Syria assigns him to what he calls "armed terrorists", a term commonly used by the media officers to designate the anti-Government rebels.
