The moment of truth for the Italian Government
The Prime Minister Enrico Letta asked for a vote of confidence in Parliament. The stability of the Government depends on this vote scheduled for tonight and avoid early elections. The Senate will vote 318 members â€" without the participation of the Chairman Grasso and two senators for life. Most people need a minimum of 161. PDL's vote against Letta may reach a maximum of 144. But according to a more realistic estimate, the current Prime Minister could count on the full support of 180 members if we include 40 members outside of the PDL.After the resignation of Ministers from the party of Silvio Berlusconi's Government coalition leader, Enrico Letta, decided to marginalize Berlusconi.
