Tunisia: Government and opposition negotiating unity Government

In Tunisia, the Government and the opposition signed a document that initiates three weeks of negotiations for the formation of a national unity Government until the next election.

Is the result of several months of pressure on the Government of the moderate Islamist party Ennahda.

The unions will also have an important role in these negotiations: "there is no other alternative to the Tunisians or to political parties, but a national dialogue away from the dangers of new problems for the country and to foreign interference," says Sami Tahri, the UGTT Trade Union central.

The demonstrations against the Government rose from tom in the summer, after the murder of two prominent opposition figures.

Opponents of the Ennahda accuse the Government of not doing enough to stop the radical groups. The opposition also accuses the Ennahda of wanting to impose an Islamic program in the country.

The Tunisians downed the President Ben Ali in 2011, one of the first revolutions of the so-called "Arab spring".
