Latvia's Prime Minister resigns after the tragedy of Riga

On resignation, Dombrovskis, after a meeting of about an hour with the President Andris Berzins, declared that the country needs a Government that can deal with tragedies like what happened.

Despite criticism, the Prime Minister, now resigned, is seen with a responsible for avoid bankruptcy of the country and put it on track for joining the Euro as early as January.

The tragedy of the collapse of the roof of the supermarket shocked the country and the head of State asked even the intervention of international experts to examine the causes.

Police opened an investigation. Poor architectural structure, with no ability to support a garden that was being built on the roof, below the regulated quality materials or even corruption, are among the main causes identified.
