Brussels: Ukraine in the Centre of the last European Summit

The President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso made it clear that there has never been any imposition that forced him to Ukraine to take refuge in a compromise with Moscow.

"In relation to Europe and as the President of the Council has already pointed out, the proposal for an association agreement, including the creation of a free trade area deep and detailed, it was precisely that: a proposal and not an imposition. And as already mentioned in Vilnius, the European Union remains committed to signing the agreement, "he said.

On the table at the Summit, are other issues such as the European financial crisis or the possible support of the French intervention in the Central African Republic.
