French military operation begins in Central African Republic

The stage of operations is the capital Bangui, where French troops have already begun patrols, mainly in the area of the airport.

The President Francois Hollande was quick to ensure the permanence of the French troops on the ground will have a limited lifespan. Talks about six months, but Bangui reacts with skepticism.

Meanwhile, worsens the situation of violence. According to the local Red Cross, at least 130 people died last Thursday in clashes between Islamic rebels and Christian militias. It was considered the worst bloodshed in recent years and was primarily a signal of alarm for Paris.
