Iran receives European Parliament delegation

Two of the most sensitive issues in the relations between Europe and Iran, are the rights of humanity and those of women. In Parliament, two hundred and ninety nine of the deputies are women. Tarja Cronberg, of the Green Group in the European Parliament believes that, still, if you can speak in evolution:

"I think the fact that women have their own faction in the Iranian Parliament, its own group, where they discuss and do research, is an evolution in society, but we must also recognize that Iran, as a whole, is a conservative society."

During the six-day visit the delegation will meet with several members of institutional bodies and senior officials in Iran.
