Thailand: Prime Minister refuses to resign

The streets of Bangkok filled yesterday with more than 140 thousand people, announced the police. A month ago the capital of Thailand is the stage of protests. The demonstrators denounced the so-called "Thaksin system", brother of the Prime Minister and former head of the Government. Thaksin Shinawatra lives in exile after being overthrown by a coup in 2006. The preparation of an amnesty law that could allow the return to their country was the last straw that led the demonstrators to the streets.
